The comedian who is credited in 130 divorces and responsible for 75,000 relationship breakups worldwide, Daniel Sloss, returns to the Aberdeen International Comedy Festival this October.
Daniel Sloss brings his new show HUBRIS to the festival which runs from October 1 to October 11 this year and is set to be a big hit once again. Hot on the heels of his ground-breaking, global smash hit show ‘X’, Daniel will bring his 11th solo show to the Music Hall on October 4.
Shona Byrne, Aberdeen Inspired Senior project manager, said: “The Aberdeen International Comedy Festival has grown to become one of the big three comedy festivals in Scotland and with headliners like Daniel Sloss, as well as recently announced Jon Richardson for the 2020 event, we are aiming to continue that this year.
“The festival has gained a good reputation within both the local community and visitors to the city and shows like Daniel’s are the reason for it. Daniel’s humour is well known to be deliciously dark. He’s a real crowd pleaser and we are thrilled to welcome him on his first Scottish date of his limited tour run of HUBRIS this October. Aberdeen Inspired has been working hard to grow the festival and it is events like these which reinforce Aberdeen’s growing status as a great city for comedy.”
The 29-year-old comedian made his name as a teenager and has since shot to fame, touring globally. Netflix specials from Daniel include ‘Dark’ and ‘Jigsaw’ which have been streamed in over 190 countries. Jigsaw in particular is famed for an analogy of relationships as a jigsaw puzzle. Daniel’s previous show ‘X’ sold out in 40 countries and he is credited with breaking up thousands of couples wordwide in the wake of ‘Jigsaw’. He’ll even autograph your divorce papers at the show if you ask him nicely.
Daniel will be joining the line up alongside previously announced Gary Meikle, Tez Ilyas and headliner Jon Richardson.
‘HUBRIS’ has been selling out around the world and has even broken box office records in Edinburgh so make sure to act quick! Tickets for Daniel Sloss – HUBRIS are priced at £26 including booking fee and go on sale at 9.30am on Friday February 28. (Warning: HUBRIS contains adult themes and strong language. Strictly 16+)
