Imperial College London is taking a bold step towards enhancing its students' eco-literacy, empowering them to make informed decisions in their personal lives and future careers.
Driven by their mission to ensure all students are well-versed in climate change, the institution recently collaborated with The Changineer and Climate Clarity to coordinate a Climate Education Kick-Off (CEKO) for Masters students.
Last week, over 400 students participated in Climate Fresk workshops during Welcome Week, showcasing Imperial College's unwavering commitment to creating a well-informed and environmentally conscious student body. Climate Fresk is an innovative, gamified approach to understanding the science behind climate change, utilising collective intelligence and creativity to engage participants in this crucial topic.
Rooted in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) science, Climate Fresk is accessible to learners at all levels and can be adapted for workplace engagement, student enrichment, or community empowerment. Imperial College expressed their appreciation for the event, stating: "Thanks again for delivering this experience to our MSc Management students. We look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you again."
To coordinate such a large-scale educational event, The Changineer and Climate Clarity assembled a team of passionate facilitators dedicated to promoting climate education. The Changineer offers a range of workshops, including Climate Fresk, as well as sessions on The Energy System, Carbon Reduction, and Doughnut Economics.
Whether your organisation is small or large, The Changineer can help you deliver an impactful message to your stakeholders, fostering a greater understanding of sustainability and climate change. As Imperial College London sets an example by prioritising eco-literacy, it's time for businesses to embrace this mindset and empower their teams to contribute to a greener future.
