Get your trainers ready as Maggie’s Aberdeen only has a small number of spaces left for its second Culture Crawl in the city. The popular walk will take place on Friday June 22 with a brand new 10-mile route set.
This year’s walk has already smashed last year’s total number of sign-ups with over 400 walkers set to take part already. However, there are still spots available for those wanting to have a fun-filled evening, all whilst raising vital funds for the cancer support charity.
The route will explore some of the granite city’s cultural hotspots, as well as some hidden gems too, with the exact route and locations kept under wraps until the day.
With a varied line up of entertainment and locally produced food and drink to enjoy along the way, there will be some great surprises and something for everyone taking part.
Brodies LLP are once again the main sponsor of the event, which will begin at the Aberdeen Sports Village and conclude at the Maggie’s Centre, in the city’s Foresterhill area.
Paula Cormack, centre fundraising manager for Maggie’s Aberdeen, said: “We have been blown away with the tremendous enthusiasm and interest in this year’s Culture Crawl so far.
“There’s a great sense of anticipation following the success of last year’s event. This one is shaping up to be a really wonderful evening for everyone to enjoy, whether you fancy taking part or are interested in volunteering to help the evening run smoothly.
“As we are reaching our upper limit for the number of walkers, we encourage anyone interested in taking part to sign up as soon as possible to secure their spot! ”Registration is open for Culture Crawl Aberdeen 2018 -www.maggiescentres.org/ccaberdeen. The registration fee is £20 and Maggie’s is asking everyone to try to raise at least £100 to help fund Maggie’s unique programme of cancer support.
Participants must be aged 16 and over (with under 18s accompanied by an adult). For news and updates about Maggie’s and Culture Crawl please follow on @maggiesaberdeen and Instagram.com/maggiesaberdeen
