Aberdeen-headquartered Spirit Energy helped its latest batch of apprentices to mark a major milestone this month.
The apprentices - Conal O'Shea, Joshua Riley, Lucas James, Niya Benn, and Oliver Bottrell – have successfully completed their first year with Spirit Energy. It was no small feat given the demands of the apprenticeship programme and it demonstrates real resilience, curiosity and a willingness to grow - qualities each of them has shown in abundance.
Spirit’s Operations Director, Peter Hepburn, joined the apprentices at the CATCH Apprenticeships End of Year Awards in Cleethorpes, England, where apprentices, their families and hosting companies attended.
Two of Spirit’s apprentices also won extra honours - Lucas James received the Most Improved Apprentice – Mechanical award and Niya Benn landed the Special Recognition award.
Peter said: “Their achievements are a testament to what’s possible when talent meets opportunity. Their openness to learning, asking questions, and embracing challenges has contributed to their success.”
Apprenticeship schemes are vital pipelines for future talent. They empower individuals to build real-world skills, grow in confidence, and shape the future of our industry.
