The Aberdeen City Music School Annual Summer Concert will again be performed at Fountainhall Church (formerly Queen's Cross Church, Albyn Place) this year. The pupils have been working hard to prepare high-quality musical solo and ensemble performances for the wider Aberdeen community. The concert is open to everyone and there is no admission charge, so please come and join us at 5pm on Saturday, June 24 for a concert featuring the music of J.S. Bach all the way to Freddie Mercury and Queen!

The Aberdeen City Music School is one of six state-funded national centres of excellence (four for music and one each for dance and sport) that provides specialist music education to pupils who, through an audition process, demonstrate considerable musical aptitude and ability. The school is located within Dyce Academy with whom we enjoy a close academic and musical relationship.

The Aberdeen City Music School enjoys every year the exceptional acoustic of Fountainhall at the Cross for their end of year concert. Fountainhall at the Cross (formerly Queen’s Cross Church, Albyn Place) offers professional spaces to hire for formal or informal events. From business meetings to cultural events, the fully AV-equipped spaces at Fountainhall at the Cross can accommodate gatherings from 4 people in spaces like the Garden Room to 380 people in the main church. The hirers at Fountainhall at the Cross can also benefit from the hospitality services of Cognito at the Cross, the onsite café.
