As demand for its services continues to grow, children’s charity AberNecessities is delighted to welcome Leah Hutcheson to the team. With an impressive track record in various financial and administrative roles in the hospitality sector, Leah will be responsible for accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, invoicing and payroll.

With grant applications playing an important role in the charity’s income generation, Leah will also manage financial reports for grant applications as well as progress reports, ensuring grant providers can see clearly where funds are distributed.

Leah is pleased to be joining the friendly team, and proud to be a part of the important work done supporting over 10,000 children in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. She said: “I worked at AberNecessities when the charity first began, and it is impressive to see how the team has coped with the increasing need and demand. AberNecessities is now a vital service provider and I look forward to supporting the team and helping to provide essentials to children and young people in our community, particularly as it is such a difficult time for so many people”.

Founder Danielle Flecher-Herd commented: “We are delighted to welcome Leah to the AberNecessities team. Her background in both financial and administrative roles will be a great asset to our team as we continue to grow. Leah’s meticulous attention to detail is especially important when it comes to the regular and detailed financial reporting required for the vital grants we receive, which frees up other members of the team to deal with the daily requests from families.”
