In partnership with Prince’s Trust Scotland, Tullos Training are launching a brand-new programme, Get into Engineering Trades, which is aimed at getting Young people interested in getting into Engineering Trades.
What is it?
- Six-week, hands on course for young people aged 16-30 interested in getting started with an engineering trade.
- Gain experience in various trades including welding, pipefitting, pneumatics and more.
- Then specialise in 1 of these trades and gain an industry recognised qualification.
How the course will run
After an initial two-week rotational training they would move to a Performing Engineering Operations level 2 unit that they felt they could use to gain employment going forward. A Tullos Training Advisor will then sit with candidates to help them make this decision, to ensure they make the right choice for them, being guided by feedback from the training staff.
The training will be fully delivered at Tullos Training premises on Craigshaw Drive, Aberdeen and the candidates will receive full pastoral support throughout and afterwards from their named PT Youth Development Lead, Ross Sutherland. The course is wholly face-to-face and will be based on Tullos Training’s site in Aberdeen. All PPE is provided and travel expenses can be reimbursed.
