Meet the exciting people behind our member businesses.
Name: Chris Logan
Company: Logan Plant Training
Job title: Director
Give us the elevator pitch for your business.
At Logan Plant Training, we deliver NPORS-accredited, hands-on training for plant machinery, including forklifts, telehandlers, and more across the North-east. I’m passionate about helping people gain the confidence, skills, and qualifications they need to work safely and efficiently on site and supporting businesses to stay compliant and productive.
Who are your customers?
We work with a wide range of customers from local construction and engineering firms to logistics and warehousing companies. Whether it’s refresher training for experienced operators or certification for newcomers, we tailor our approach to every learner.
What is the biggest challenge and opportunity your organisation is facing right now?
In today’s climate, many companies are balancing compliance and costs.
At the same time, there’s a growing shortage of qualified instructors. We see this as both a challenge and an opportunity and we’re proud to be mentoring two future trainers in their development as future leaders in plant operator training.
What is your word of advice for fellow Chamber members?
Invest in your people. Skilled, confident, and safety-aware teams are the foundation of any successful business. The return on that investment is seen in productivity, safety, and long-term success.
What is the best thing about being a Chamber member?
For me, it’s about connection. Being part of a network that champions local businesses, encourages collaboration, and shares knowledge is invaluable. The Chamber is helping us raise our profile, meet new connections and feel part of a thriving local business community.
