Meet the exciting people behind our member businesses.
Name: Tracy Masson
Company: Skene Business Centre
Job title: Business centre manager
Give us the elevator pitch for your business.
Skene Business Centres is a local, family-owned company providing serviced offices, virtual offices, meeting rooms and therapy/counselling rooms across three Aberdeen city addresses. Whether an individual is seeking a one-desk office, or a larger company requires multiple offices, we deliver smart solutions at all stages of your business journey.
Who are your customers?
A varied mix of businesses excel at SBC. We work with clients seeking a flexible workplace, including startups, remote teams, SME, therapy, beauty and counselling professionals. It’s particularly rewarding working with our clients to transform their room into a workspace that meets their needs.
What is the biggest challenge and opportunity your organisation is facing right now?
It’s challenging when a client has their heart set on a specific location that’s already occupied. We find strong communication and efficient databases are key, liaising regularly with existing and potential clients. Our strength is building on our 40-plus years of experience, continuing to be the welcoming, responsive go-to provider of trusted high-quality serviced offices and long-term client relationships.
What is your word of advice for fellow Chamber members?
Use your connections, you never know what opportunities you may discover! Not only can businesses highlight and promote their own work through the avenues provided by the chamber, but they can also learn about other interesting projects, launches and news.
What is the best thing about being a Chamber member?
I appreciate receiving timely and relevant local news that keeps me updated on the latest business developments in Aberdeen. I find Business Bulletin a helpful resource. It helps build awareness of the city’s strong business community and it gives local entrepreneurs a voice too.
