Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) has been shortlisted for Scotland's prestigious Charity of the Year Award 2019.
Scotland's only charity-funded air ambulance service has been voted one of the top six charities in the high-profile Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) Awards.
The winner will be announced at a special awards dinner in Edinburgh on June 14.
SCAA chief executive David Craig expressed his delight at being shortlisted for one of the country's top accolades.
"These awards showcase the very best practise in Scotland's Third Sector and to be shortlisted as one of the outstanding charities in the country is hugely exciting," he said.
"To be shortlisted alongside some extremely impressive organisations is both humbling and rewarding and we greatly appreciate the judges' recognition of the vital work that SCAA does for everyone in Scotland and the truly amazing team involved in terms of our crew, charity staff, volunteers, fundraisers and supporters."
Anna Fowlie, SCVO chief executive, said: "The Awards are a great way of celebrating and recognising those working to better our communities and, the calibre of this year's finalists highlights their creative and innovative approaches to finding solutions to support their communities during challenging times."
Thousands of patients - of all ages - have been attended to by SCAA and thousands of people across the whole of Scotland have been affected by the amazing work of the Perth Airport-based charity.
In the past year alone, the dedicated crew responded to 325 emergencies. They have been scrambled over 2,070 times since the service launched in 2013.
The past year has seen record growth in terms of fundraising, corporate giving, volunteers, lottery sign-ups, sponsored participation event sign-ups, positive media exposure, social media followers and interaction, brand placement, public presentations and the number of patients airlifted to definitive hospital care.
And the charity has recently announced its intention to launch a second helicopter based at Aberdeen to expand its life-saving service.
SCAA supporters are now being encouraged to vote for the life-saving service in an online poll to find Scotland's 'People's Choice' charity.
