Findlay is Vice President and General Counsel for Baker Hughes' Oilfield Equipment business, a $4billion business with 9,000 personnel in over 40 countries. Findlay oversees the provision of legal advice and support to the business on all aspects of its operations around the world. His other roles at Baker Hughes include being UK diversity and inclusion leader and global crisis management leader (oilfield equipment).
Prior to joining GE Oil & Gas (Baker Hughes) in 2011, Findlay was a partner at UK law firm McGrigors LLP, where he acted for oil and gas operators and service companies across the upstream sector. Previously, Findlay was a legal manager for CNR International where he was responsible for overseeing all legal support for the company's operations in the UK and Africa.
After studying law at Aberdeen University, Findlay worked in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London on infrastructure projects in the healthcare, transportation and defence sectors before moving to Aberdeen 2003. He is married with two teenage sons.
